Best way to transfer upwards of 16gb

Super noob IT question here, be warned:

I'm looking for software to transfer ~25gb of music from my old computer to my new one, I don't have any kind of portable HD or MP3 player to use so that's out of the question. The computers are however connected to the same network through my Linksys (though it has a hardware firewall that is finicky) Does anyone know any freeware programs to do such a thing?

Networking them would indeed be best. But for future reference, you can get 4 GB USBs pretty cheap, might be worth checking out just to have it in contingencies like this.

edit: with some tinkering I figured it out, thanks guys. Wasn't familiar with the Vista networking interface.. just had to poke around a bit.

Why would you have a firewall on the lan? That makes no sense what so ever.

Internets - Firewall - PCs is sufficient.

Steps to noob friendly networking.

1. Turn off windows firewall.
2. Set computers into the same domain.
3. Right click hdd, share, done.

Why would you turn a firewall off for a home network Kyo? The firewall wouldn't affect local transfers at all.

All of you are missing something..

1. Right click folder, enable sharing button, tick it
2. Go to "My Network Places", you will find your music folder there..
3. Copy paste..wala..

If you are having trouble with networking, a nice workaround is to create an MSN messenger account for each machine, and create a shared folder. Then just drag whatever you want to share into it, and it will transfer automatically.

And before anyone says it, no, it dosen't go via MSN servers, file transfers on MSN are point to point.
