[Beta release] cpctf_2castle_b1

Hey everyone. I'd like to get my map out in the open and playtested. It's called 2castle, as you might have guessed the basic idea is two castles facing each other, however it's a hybrid of capture the flag and control point gameplay. To score a point, a team must capture the control point in the enemies castle to open the doors to their intelligence room. The intelligence must then be retrieved and taken back to the attackers control point.

I've spent a very long time tweaking the map to make the gameplay as balanced as possible.

Wow, that actually looks pretty cool.
 
Can you walk down the sides and rocket jump over the back? If so I'd say that probably breaks the map balance.
 
Wys is it a cp hud when it's ultimatley a ctf map?

Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about that.

You can rocket/pipe jump over the walls, but when you consider the time it takes to get to the back of the enemy castle, plus the health damage depending on how good you are at rocket jumping, it's a good tactic but it's not overpowered.

Removew the cp from the beginning of the map name?

And if you have uber? Or if you're escaping with the flag?

Uhh... no, the engine determines which HUD to display based on the entities present in the map. The entity which tells the engine to show the CP HUD is necessary for the control points to work in the first place.

That would be a big waste of the uber considering the medic can't follow the soldier/demoman over the wall. Jumping over the wall is a perfectly fair way of escaping and has its downsides.
 
Rectangle doors in the towers are bad. Make them round at the top or add some detail to them.

You'd consider a flag cap a waste of an uber? Okay then... :|
