Better than average DELL PC - HL2 won't run

Hey man. I got the new Dell 4700. its got everything about the same as yours, except mine has a 3.0 GHZ processor. I had the same problem. What I did to fix it was: I opened up the steam list of games, right clicked on Halflife 2 went to properties and in the launch game part I copied some big confusing line that I will post as soon as half-life2 comes back online (for some reason it is unavailable at this time) so ya... ill keep ya posted man. oh ya, i also still cant play counterstrike and death match.

shut up you fool. its not as simple as matching minimum requirements. there are too many variables in computer hardware to ensure compatibility and no problems with every users computer. either learn how to fix these problems yourself, take helpful peoples advice and apply it to your system ....or....my personal favourite...shut the hell up and stick to your playstation
