BF related, but not exactly a BF thread

I'm not a chinese, yet I'm fascinated by the chinese culture, i know that chinese is a quite peaceful country since the establishement of its lastest gouvernement. At least, it has never attacked other countries to take over them or to make them as colonnies or to go on wars for oil, etc. If you have seen the lastest trailers of battlefield 2 or battlefield modern combat, u will notice that they have put up China as an ennemy of USA and British(the accent of the soldier who speak in the trailer of bf modern combat). I know that China has fought with USA twice in the last century, in Vietnam and Korea, but that was wars for protecting their boundary by protecting the one of other neighbour countries, I don't know whether communism is just an excuse for expanding their power, but no matter what, that is the past. At least, now, China is not a threat in terme of military, ok I know there's things going on between China and Taiwan, and with Japan, also its exportation seems to menace the locaux manufacturing business in US and Europe, yet China tries to sort everything out peacefully. I'm kinda disagree with EA in what they do in the new bf serie putting China as an ennemy to US. It's like the movie James Bond, he has to fight the whole world and keep looking for new nations as ennemies in the serie, all that to get the new plots for the serie. I know many of you don't give the shit to this...well reply if u're interested in this topic.

I think it's ok in bf1942, they put japanese and in bf vietnam, they put vitnamese and chinese, that is ok, becuz that is the history, that has already happened, but in the modern combat, except the gulf war or the one in iraq now, those with chinese is fictitious. It's no good to put up fictions that set any real country in any position that it hasn't taken yet.

After the all, **** EA for screwing the culture of gamers. I'm questionning whether the way EA conducts it business is ethical.

It's the current trend, look at magazines and tv, everything is about China now. Remember the eighties? every movie villain was an arab or an iranian. Now it's going to be the chinese (example: next season of 24).

btw, Korea was 1950.6.25 ~ 1953. not 43. and they didn't interfere until ROK troops came close to china. which was about 1951 I think

How naive bullshit is that !?? they have probably taken over tibet, but that happen before or around the establishement of the gouvernement, there was war going on inside of china at that time, the communism was weak at the beginning and had to escape to the north. Also China used to be bigger, becuz it lost a huge part of mongolia after they fought with USSR. Taiwan was given to Japan by the the royal family after it was defeated by Japan. After the world war 2, Japan has left, then taiwan was took over by the party that got defeated by communism, otherwise, it would still be part of China. Recently, they tried to fix up the problem of Taiwan peacefully, if u have watched the latest news. As for Vietnam, after the americain left, there was border problem between China and Vietnam, the same reason for the war between India and China, (every country has border problem with their neighbour...), especially the gouvernement has just established itself. After the war in Korea, China didn't take any advantage from Korea, but just to insure the gouvernance of the korean communism party in the north which is facing huge enonomic difficulty now, and China keep on supplying matierials to them to help them survive.

Probably, those countries took the wrong choice by choosing the communism side, yet they just fought for what they believe in and for insuring their gouvernance on their territory. If you can simply name those wars without knowing the reasons behind them, and thus judge that China wanna use its military power to dominate the world, you are really naive bullshitting.

From the history, we know that most of wars are for economic reasons, yet I would say those wars that u name aren't economically profitable for China, and after those wars, China didn't take get bigger, didn't make other countries as colonnies, there weren't oil there. They are probably for politically reasons: power and dominance, yet politics doesn't make people live better, many of these countries are still poor and underdevelopped, and they choose to "U turn" and corporate to the world economic. Hopefully, we can make each other's life better by competing in economic and improving our productivity. I really don't want to see wars like those in bf modern combat to become real.

Is English your first language? The Chinese are the enemy because that is a realistic scenario, they hate us.

Does it matter if they are peaceful or not? They the world's largest army (In terms of personel), it makes perfect sense they participate in a war _game_. What other country would you propose as an enemy? That the USA fights itself? This isn't an educational game about culture, this is a game about having fun, and if that means Chinese should fight Americans, then let it be.

If people use racist slurs by calling the enemy "chinks," that isn't your problem, they aren't ruining anything but their own reputations.
