BF1942 Text Lag , wtfx?

When I play BF1942 sometimes my text lags ALOT. I will type out messages and not get anything back thinking everyone is ignoring me. Then later I get about 13 messages at once of OLD text , some of people responding to things I typed a LONG time ago , is this a known problem and does anyone know how to fix it?

No , cable modem. Pefectly fine 30-120 pings..

happens to me too. Just a problem in the netcode i assume...

Sounds like lag spikes to me. If they pass on quickly, it might not show in your ping.

Otherwise, try a reinstall of your game. Worth a try, sometimes when you've installed a bunch of mods/patches/whatever things have a habit of screwing up.

it sucks. I was asking for someone to spot artillery for me and I didnt get their instructions until the round was almost over.

Apparently its a known and common but unresolved issue in BF1942 :-/

yea if i type too fast it doesnt pick up what I'm typing personally.

that bug sucks, it will only show if someone gets kicked or the round ends for me, sometimes it won't do that at all though.

Do you use All seeing eye to connect?

It doesn't happen to me in regular bf or most of the mods, but it happens all the time in FH. I can't stand it....

Hmm, it always happenes in DC for me.

It never has happened in Hydroracers or anything.

No, chat lag has always been a problem. EA never bothered to fix it yet, i believe it started happening after the 1.3 patch.

It's especially annoying when the teams are 400v1 and no one will switch....

Oh, like the time you just had to switch over to axis on FH? WHen the teams were already 64vs10.

Teams dont matter to me anyway, i hate it when people say teams, when its 1 person off.

Probably not now that I know its a bug with the game, but I use ASE too.

That was you?!?! I switched because the germans wouldn't cap the flag, they just sat just out of reach of it and let us spawn and get killed. I switched so I could just cap it.
