you could all along, One person starts up single player and writes down their IP it shows, then the other connects to the IP and Wala co-op mode. I did this all the time when my friend first got the game and was uncomfortable playing online at first cus he sucked so bad.

thats also how some of the people around here do the whole download the game, play at with a couple friends

Singleplayer server only supports 16 player maps.

theres a 32 player unlock for single player maps out there somewhere, just hope you got teh computer to run the bots

Alas bots on larger maps are stupid. The Mod aims to have intelligent bots on the larger maps, rather than total idiots.
