i play the game atleast a hour a day so yeah i guess it is worth it, although i get very bored playing without my buddies tbh...some more maps would be nice, my fav game atm though is devil may cry 3, some of the best level design/ art direction ever, sry just wanted to give dmc3 a plug....

If you paid about $50 for it that means you've payed $.50/hour for the game

If I look at games like that so far I've enjoyed games like StarCraft, WC3, Diablo 2, BF1942, BF2 a TON for dirt cheap. I've played each of those games (not quite BF2) in the hundreds of hours. And I paid $1.50 for StarCraft to get it from a friend a long time ago...Best...Investment...Ever. Whereas games like Doom 3 and HL2 I've only played for like 20 and 35 hours respectively when they ran me $50 and $60 respectively.

It's definitely worth picking up. I don't see how new armies in Special Forces will make such a difference...just new guns and skins. It's not like the armies fundamentally change the gameplay.

I'm nearing the 100 hour mark (classes started again...so I don't have nearly as much time to play now) and It's been worth every penny.

It's a decent game, but I doubt I will be reinstalling it. I don't find it quite as satisfying as css, and I do not have the time to play multiple online games. If I had been in some situation giving me lots of spare time I might still play it.

I have work and 18 credits of classes to juggle now so I don't have all that much time to devote to BF2.

I never was really good at SC melee games. I always had fun with the use map settings games. Same with WC3.

It takes me 3 minutes or less to start up and sign in because i deleted all the stupid startup videos. As for servers, it takes about 5 minutes to find all of em and stop updating the list, but i have the IPs of my favorite ones written down. I usually takes me 5-10 minutes to get into a game.

I hated the previous titles too, oddly enough. Yet BF2 I find so much more enjoying. Don't ask why, I can't tell you. I can boot up bf9142, and play it for 5 minutes before I get bored.

And it takes me, If I remember correctly, 4 minutes and some odd seconds from me opening BF2 Autoloader, joining a server that's in my favorites, and getting in the game.
