BF2 v1.50 Beta Patch

For any of you guys who want to reminisce about BF2, I have put two articles on The Reticule recently about the game.

Been playing the game a fair bit the past week or so, god it is still so good

You were able to find servers to play on? When the patch first came out, there were a handful of servers with almost nobody playing on them. Maybe I should check on them again.

Reinstalling today if anyone wants to play.
No guarantees that PB is going to cooperate with me though.

Also, just reinstall the 1.41 patch, no one ever plays the beta patches.

Are servers still running the beta patch? Wanted to try out the Special Forces Exp Pack seeing as I got new ram(cheers Shaker).

Won't reinstall now, just crashes when it's installing the 'objects.zip' file....great.

Good ol' BF2. I only have the patch installed...I don't really want to uninstall/reinstall

I've still got it installed.
I've not seen a reason to play since no one else here is really willing and a few of my friends can't stand that it still doesn't support widescreen.

Playing on pubs with uncooperative children is really no fun.

If you do decide to install however, DO NOT GET THE BETA PATCH.
No one uses it.

Are they even still working on releasing this? They'll probably go "ah **** it, let's just release the beta patch as the final".

Also, doesn't "+widescreen 1" in the command line work? It does for BF2142.

The general consensus is that it basically stretches the screen making it look awful. :hmph:

Hmm, haven't tested it in BF2, but I have it enabled in BF2142 and it looks fine to me.

The beta patch was pretty much released out of the blue without so much as an announcement beforehand.
