First off, no, this thread isn't for religious wars or anything
I was watching the history channel about a week ago and they had this special on a bible code. They claim that the bible is encoded and has messages.
A bunch of researchers had designed a computer program to look at matrixes of text from the bible and they have found events in history tightly grouped.
They claim that the major events of history are foretold by the bible code. For example, the jewish prime minister assasination, a lot of wars, elections, president kennedy assasination, bush/gore election, columbia space shuttle and even 9/11.
A lot were skeptical though and did the same testing on the novel Moby Dick, (it being the same length) and they found that the novel contained a message about princess dianas death
Ofcourse, these messages from the bible code could just be coincidental arrangements of words, but they also said that the chance of these messages being so compact and in the same matrix as each other was statistically "an impossibility"
I just thought it was interesting, did anyone see this show?
