Okay everyone, I've done a few reskins and new muzzleflashes for CS:Source.

You have to download them all at once. I did not seperate them, sorry. It should be easy to install which ones you want though, thanks everyone! Feedback, please!
 
i dont like your muzzleflashes sorry i just dont like them but the skins are pro:)
 
Yea those skins are nice. I recon you should have a go at the hands, cos ive always thought they dont look that great.
 
too saturated? they're not saturated at all, you can see right through them...
 
that stuff looks cool but i always stick to the original materials...

the skins look nice btw, but as others have said.. the muzzle flashes seem a tad weak at least in the screenshots.
my favorite piece, is definately the desert eagle.

on a somewhat unrelated note:
you know, I was going through my CS:S directory (media and stuff that I had when CS:S was in beta) and I noticed in a video I took how much better the shotty looked in CS:S final in comparison to the shotty from BETA CS:S..
 
Glo-Boy very VERY nice job on the CT skins. Well done :D I know how to do skins and stuff now cus i learnt the other day... So maybe if i can make some good skins. We both could team up to release a skin pack???

The color is too saturated is what I was getting at. It looks like fire is coming out of the gun, and when actually firing a gun, a muzzle flash is much brighter then that. I have an ak-47 and the muzzle flash looks exactly like the name states, a flash. I like your other skins though, but i'd prefer to keep my desert eagle skin silver and shiney :D
 
You have an AK-47? Presuming you do, it would be no problem to get a video of you firing it full auto. I'd like to see the flash.

I've fired an m16-A1 shorty on full auto, and while the flash is yellow, it doesn't make a star, and it shoots out about three feet. I couldn't do that, so I made the muzzleflash for the pistols look like what comes out of my .41 magnum, and translated it to the rifles.
 
The ct is cool.. but you should have canged vest color too. It defeats the purpose of the camo plus it just doesn't match as well. Other wise AWESOME!
 
Meh, default models suit me pretty nicely.
 
The player skins make both sides look way too similar... I have trouble with friendly-fire enough as it is! :O
 
unfortunately my AK-47 is only semi-auto. I don't have a class three liscense to own a fully automatic weapon. I just moved down here, so I have yet to find a shooting range to shoot at, and i've been busy. It would probaly take me a long while to get a video of me shooting. Most muzzle flashes aren't in a star shape. It depends on how the end of the barrel is shaped and how powerful the gun is.
 
Excellent. How much did you pay? I'm in the market for a used one, thinking about 3 to 500 dollars.
 
Its around $100 to $200 depending on the shape and where you get it from. Goto a local gunshow when they come around, alot of people sell Ak's and other variants, so you should check it out. My dad has an AK aswell as an SKS, which is a variant of the AK. They both fire 7.62mm ammo, and both rock, but the AK just has a different feel.

As far as the skins go, good job, keep it up, player models need to be differentiated a bit, and the guns look good.
 
The AK-47 was 765 dollars. It's american made and well built. Romanian AK-47's are cheap, but good. You can get them at about 400 dollars at any local gun shop. The M4A4 is not mine. It's my friends, but I believe he shelled out 850 dollars for it plus money for the scope and some other accessories.
 
I have my Federal Firearms Permit, and I am 19. The law permits me to buy "long rifles and ammunition and accessories." for "all lawful purposes." Am I legal to buy one?

Wouldn't "fully automatic" need to be included?

Exactly. Each side need to look different for me to download. But they look good though :)
 
Where do I extract this stuff too? Sorry I dont know whats been going on with me lately, but I cant remember how to do much stuff.
 
You need to get a special permit form the mayor of your town. Most likely if your 19 thats not a liscense to get a fully automatic weapon. Getting a class 3 liscense is pretty much signing your privacy over to the government though. There are alot of rules that they enforce on you too and are very strict about them.
 
Didnt the fully automatic firearms ban just expire recently? Or did they re-instate that?
 
Not totally sure if there was a ban on it in the first place. I know you had to have a special liscense issued by a sheriff to get it. Honestly it's not even worth getting a fully automatic weapon unless you are planning to have a profession in guns.
 
I didn't mean a fully automatic AK. I understand all the problems and hassles with getting your hands on an automatic rifle. I was talking about a single-shot one.
 
I like your CT model, but its probably not bump mapped like the one I have right?
 
You don't need a liscense at all to have a Semi-Automatic rifle. All you need to do is be 18+ and have a clean criminal record.
