I had to give this a whirl...

I actually had more stuff to pile up here but the pile started acting funny and I was worried the game might crash or something. quicksave, quicksave, quicksave.....

How the hell do you make it run so clean, a explosion like that would have made me go into a stand still.
 
ya my sound would be skipping worse than any cd ive ever seen, sad really, and yes how do u make videos im planning to make some
 
Some people have super computers...I only run at like 24-27 FPS...other people complain when theirs drops below 50!
 
Mine isnt THAT bad....I have 9800 Radeon pro 2.0 Intel 512 RAM...Im planning on buying a new one though, since i bought this one as a POS and added the Radeon...BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER.

Don't use fraps to make the videos. Some guy names Jacen has several posts on how to do it right. Here is how you make the movies...

When I was recording the demo the physics are VERY CHOPPY. But as it turns out one of the cool side effects of using this method to create the avi is that it runs really smooth because it does it on a frame by frame basis and doesn't have to run at 30fps.....it will slow down to create every single frame I guess.

explosions will lag hell in videos if u capture with fraps

dont use fraps or gamecam and your videos will be fluent as hell

sound skipping issues dont apply when you are rendering videos.
they are constant framerate

same here. its doesnt matter how good you can rund hl2.
if you can run hl2, you can make videos at 100fps if you want.

i cancelled uploading in favor of finishing the video.
and i finished it just a couple of minutes ago
ill try to render it at different resolutions/bitrates to get the best looking version

currently i have a 636x360 version weighting 70megs

maybe i can upload it today
 
is there a command to make the decal limit larger, ?

So the bodies and stuff dont disaperar..

i cant get dead bodies to stack, i've used cl_ragdoll_collide 1 with no luck. anyone have any idea's?

For whatever reason it doesn't always work. For me it doesn't work in the citadel levels. Works everywhere else though...

I can swing that pile around with the crane; and if I swing it far enough it will catch on the pole behind me and if I dislodge it, it slingshots across the map.

Also, the pile starts to spark and the cars go nuts dropping your FPS bigtime.

HL2 needs multiplayer so I can get someone to stand on the pile while I slingshot it :LOL:
