BIOShock 2 details and Mag scans *MAJOR SPOILERS*

I just think this sounds all bad all around. I have never felt any desire to play as Big Daddy, the drill and rivet gun don't seem like any fun at all. I don't want to escort Little Sisters under any circumstances, ever. That was probably the worst part of the original BioShock. The story sounds really goofy, too. You're a Big Daddy who uses plasmids and goes around listening to audio logs and does missions? Basically a regular guy trapped in a suit with a bizarre compulsion to go around protecting Little Sisters? And you also have Andrew Ryan's DNA? Why couldn't they just tell the story of someone else in Rapture and go back and deliver on some of the core promises they fell short of in the first game, instead of all this gimmicky stuff?

You're the prototype, likely before they actually started using the suits.

PS:

WE WILL BE REBORN IN THE WOMB OF THE OCEAN

D:

hmm... So it's TEN YEARS after you (Bioshock 1) came to Rapture, killing dozens of big Daddys, then in Bioshock 2, you play as the ORIGINAL Big Daddy? I wonder how they'll explain that one.

I like the sound of this: "There are reasons for why all following Big Daddies were crippled and brainwashed, however Jordan refused to reveal these reasons to Tom." So we have a reason for why the other big daddies were dull. :D

"...,as you invest in a plasmid type their function will change and you will be able to combine them with others. One such example is the Cyclone Trap which can be combined with Incinerate to create a Fire Trap." This sounds cool, At least it will bring in more variety through plasmids, like they advertised so much in Bioshock 1.

I would post proper scans of the Bioshock 2 feature in my ps3 mag, but I can't be arsed.

Well, if you mean Alyx, then it wasn't really an escort mission because you were about 100 times more likely to die than she was. If anything she was escorting you. If you mean the actual escort mission at the end, that is the perfect example of why escort missions should die in a fire. They are so terrible that not even Valve can make one fun.

Can't you get everyone killed and still win? Valve cornered us with pathos.

Dunno. Fans of Episode One maybe.

Err... there really wasn't that much escorting in Episode 1. Alyx rarely needed anything in the way of protection, and she was a capable fighter on her own. That's a world different from Little Sisters, which are meant to be... you know. Vulnerable.

I don't like the sound of this. Doesn't seem right to be a Big Daddy. Part of their appeal to me, as well as their relationship with the Little Sisters, was some of the mystique behind it. You're in a foreign world with an alien ecology, and a lot of what's not spoken make it intriguing. To blast it into a full-blown game experience surely cheapens it a bit? I'm not sure if that makes sense, but whatever.

Other than that, it doesn't look like much has changed. And Andrew Ryan left big shoes to fill. I'm hopeful, but currently disappointed.

I think he meant at the end when you had to get the resistance members over to the train station, I didn't like that part either. Especially for a last mission of the game.

Yeah, that was... meh. Wasn't really as bad as most other escort missions I've played, but still.
