Bioshock 2 gameplay!

From what I read in PCG, the first Big Daddy was outfitted with more than what the following models had. You were created as a prototype, but you were too powerful and had a conscience... and the next generation of Big Daddies were brainwashed and crippled so they couldn't make the same mistake as they did with you. Your plasmid abilities and the multiple weapons are all part of the Big Daddy prototype. You're renegade because you have a mind. Other Big Daddies don't.

The Big Sister is one person, not multiple people. She is on a quest to stop you from harvesting/rescuing the Little Sisters, as her goal in life is to restore Rapture to its former glory; that's why she kidnaps the little girls from the surface and brings them down to Rapture.

And apparently splicers are more twisted than ever now, more savage and like an animal, trying to do all they can to survive in the even more wrecked Rapture.

Also: swimming :D

^^^

All of that, plus it's apparently possible to kill the Big Sister during her routine attacks on you. She's not the main antagonist, just a big part of the story.

I don't think it'll be great ... but I think it'll be a decent game. Probably won't have anywhere near the narrative depth of the original, but the gameplay will likely be somewhat improved and polished. That's all I'm expecting.

I also read that 2K said the Big Sister would show up several times, and you could defeat her, but that she is mostly the main antagonist. I don't believe they said you could kill her in battle.

Also, 2K wants to make you feel like you're being "stalked" throughout Rapture - creepy.

I'm not sure what they're going to do with the story, but from what I've seen the gameplay is definitely improved. It would be ironic if the sequel to a great story with a mediocre game became a great game with a mediocre story.

...and

Yeah pretty underwhelming, I'd like to call this an expansion rather than a fully fledged sequel :/

I loved the first Bioshock, but the premise in part two is meh. Pretty much all the loose ends were tied up at the end of the first game and after exploring all of Rapture, I'm ready to move on to other locales which basically means, Bioshock no longer interests me.

Rapture was 80% of the first Bioshock tbh and even if they did take it beyond Rapture, the game would then just feel out of place.

Futhermore, the graphics look almost identical. Maybe these shots (and ones I've seen in recent magazines) are just a beta.
