Bioware beat Half-life 1 for game of the year awards.

Bioware's game Knights of the old republic got over 70 game of the year awards. Bet you never saw that comin! Check it out at Bioware.com. You gotta give them some credit for beating the greatest game of all time.

Thats pretty damn good. I dont feel bad that it beat Half-Life 1, its Star Wars. and its a totally different game to half-life as well. Besides its good to see SOMETHING good come from the Star Wars series, thats the best thing thats happened for the series in a looooooooooong time

I said it before, and I'll say it again:

1. It didn't exactly have a lot of competetion this year.

2. There are probably twice as many game reviewers giving out 'game of the year awards' as there were when Half-Life came out.

I think the biggest reason is number 2, but KOTOR was a damn good game.

Pff... It should have gotten "Most Overrated Game Of The Year" award... Its not bad, but its... a fling. Halflife took me months to drag through, and I even enjoyed the early MP (alpha, cant describe it better) for a pretty long while (and then the early mods). In KOTOR I finish a game in 15 hours. Total playing time of 1 week (3 finished games). Its a good game, but its not a *GAME*.
