...Ok I now have your total attention. Let's have a long philosophical discussion about some of the harder enemies in HL2, and possible theories on how to take them down. If it's been done before, who cares. I want to hear some elaboration. And some speculation on the boss waiting for us at the end of the game.

Get to flaming.

With all respect this topic is rather pointless to the extreme. I mean really, we may like HL2 but dicussing how to take down enemies just seems really geeky and proves that we haven't anything better to do with our time.

My suggestion is that we don't post any more threads until something actually happens in the real world.

i have beaten the boss at the end of half life 2 :)

Real World?

nah im obviously kidding but Merc is dayamm lucky

Heh merc, I never understood, are you one of those guys who don't fear spoilers? If Valve would offer me a chance to kill the final boss, no way in hell I'd go for it! :p

Didn't Valve once say that the game didn't have a "proper" end boss, and the player has to be a better scientist yadda yadda yadda...

Are you a Beta tester or something Merc?
If so, who did you kill to get into it?

Merc got to tour valve a few months ago and was able to play some of the game, including the end. For more info, search "whiteboard." :p

anyone got a piccy of that guy who was trying to sell halflife the original as halflife2? that pretty much explains the biozeminades. lol good times

My theory on the Striders: They CAN be killed, from what we've heard, but we've also seen resistance forces pelting them with ammo, RPGs, etc... Now, either they just have HUGE health, or they're immune to that stuff. My bet's that they can't be hurt normally, and there's some kind of weak point, or a certain weapon you need to use. Maybe the Gauss gun can kill em, or maybe you need to aim for a leg joint, or trip them (REMEMBER HOTH!), or maybe get em in the back of the head with an RPG, or maybe there's some tiny exposed spot of flesh that needs a well aimed bullet, or... etc.

I ramble too much.
