I thought episode 2 was the hardest, mainly because of the multitudes of striders you have to destroy at the end, probably hard for me because I'm still new to half life 2.

Half life 2 itself is the hardest. Episode 1 and 2 are quite easy.

I found it a better game than EP1, even though it could be the most frustrated one out of the HL2 series. (the parts to fight the guardians and striders)
