Black Friday

Tomorrow's Black Friday and there are amazing sales at Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. I am going to try to get a Radeon 9600 Pro for $70.00 or a 120.0 GB hard-drive for $50.00. Are you going to the stores tomorrow?

not technically going to the stores but my copy of Knights Of The Old Republic will drop through the letterbox at about 9am in the morning. so i'm gonna be up and early with my cameo gear waiting to jump the postie and do a little raid on his sack.

if you're gonna get a HD, i'd advise going for a 200GB external HD. they're so versatile. you download your stuff, use it, then just dump it on the HD. and if you're ever going round to a mate's house just unplug it, shove some decent music/films/games on it and go. i'd go for a HD rather than that graphics card right now, wait and see what variations on ATi and nvidia's cards are coming out nearer HL2's release.

I will avoid shopping tomorrow at all costs. All the rabid mothers who will be waiting at the doors at 4:00 am in the cold. All them rushing in through the front door, and running through the ailses like the toy they want isnt gonna be there in 2 minutes. What a joke. I wont even go the day after, cuz all the idiots who bought the wrong shit will be out to return it. I'll wait til Monday. God be with those who go for it though...

i think Black Friday is something to do with a stock market crash or some such business related nonsense. so each year they comemorate with a large sale to boost the economy and give them another excuse to increase inflation. glorious stuff.

Black Friday is simply the day after Thanksgiving in the states. It's the biggest shopping day of the year, all the stores have huge sales on from 6 AM til about 12 noon.

Black Friday means Sale Time in the UK, its been one week since the sales started in London. Example MaxPayne2 droped from £35 to £20.

well sometimes its called Black Friday buy the customers cuz it is literally hell. People are going mad to get the product they want. But when I was a sales associate for a local store, we called it Green Friday cuz of all the money we made. Its a big day, because its the actual start of the holiday shopping season.

Lots of days are called Black. I think there was a black Tuesday and a black Thursday associated with the stockmarket crash of 1929...although i think they were both called Black Thursday, or they at least had the same name.
