Now buy Black-Mesa, it's finished, fills in a lot of blanks, and you'll love it.

I got about half way through when it was free then I bought it on sale after they started charging for it.

I downloaded it and meant to play it but then I had 2 children and now I don't have time. I'm going to fire it up tonight and play it while my other games do their endless patches and updates.

Also - never played HL1, no hate pls

It is indeed a nice game--picked it up on sale back in December. The filling-in-the-blanks aspect of it is one of the reasons I enjoyed it, particularly what they did with Xen in creating a much stronger presence of the science/exploration teams having previously been there.
