do a mod based on new black-mesa themed level, in the style of the most visually impressive areas.

This isn't a completely terrible idea, but I won't extend the compliment to the rest of this bumptastic post.

I like remakes, though lacking in originality they tend to save me from poor graphic originals which give me a hard headache when I feel like replaying the whole story. BTW I know HL1 had phenomenal graphics back then but I just think the old engine has got to go.

I simply meant remaking the originals was a good idea. It gives people encouragement to replay the old story with the much more comfortable source engine. Please don't misunderstand.
