Hey folks, I'm Bob Sikowski, mapper for Black Mesa: Source.
If you haven't heard of it already, our mod is based off what HL:Source had in mind - making HL1 as pretty as HL2. Our main goal is to bring HL1 up to the level of graphics and detail that you'd expect from any other HL2 mod. So far, we have 8 mappers working on their respective chapters of HL, and 3 texture artists making hi-def textures, also working collaboratively with the HL:Sourced project on these very forums, for our maps. We are, however, looking for some extra talent.
We really need a skinner, to help us out in texturing models - first person and world models. We have plenty of untextured models so far, waiting to be textured. No experience with 3D modelling applications is really required, but it helps when you're talking to our modellers. Examples of your past work would be really appreciated.
As for the mod, we hope to release some of our best media by the end of this week, hopefully attracting some skilled people to help us out, and show everyone that we're serious.
So if you're a talented texture artist, and more importantly, if you enjoyed HL1 and want to really make it shine under Source, check out our forums at http://forum.leakfree.org or our IRC channel, #BMS on gamesurge.
