Over the weekend I attended the valhalla lan party. Adrenaline computers had a competiton running where 52 players would verse 12 Adrenaline players on the BF2 demo.

The goal was for the 52 M.E.C. players to steal the Blackhawk from the carrier and land it on the oil/water tanker near the M.E.C. airfield. The pilot of said Blackhawk would win a 19 inch LCD screen. Anyone in the the Blackhawk as a passenger won a copy. If less than 5 people were in the Blackhawk awards would be based on merit.

It took close to 3 hours for anyone to make any progress with the Blackhawk as the Adrenaline players camped it. More and more Adrenaline players were booted from the game as we lost terribly.

Eventually I got into the Blackhawk and piloted towards land, then to be shot down by a Vtol. Next my brother managed to take off with my freind Richard and I as passengers using the miniguns. Taking the long route we got half-way in land before being locked on by another aircraft and shot down.

I got into the Blackhawk again and piloted over to the tanker. Having very little practice flying I hovered directly over the tanker and tried to land, then the lag hit and I couldn't manage to land the thing. I was shot down.

Finnaly someone else landed the blackhawk. Funny thing though no one actually saw the Blackhawk take off.

Anywhoo there was only the pilot and one Passenger. The pilot won the monitor and the passenger a copy. I and 2 other people won a copy from being excellent pilots and the fifth won a copy for having the highest kills on our team.

All in all woot!

I always steal the Blackhawk. It's fun. Landing on the tank is easy. :P

Not when it's camped by 12 pros. Most of the time you could see the other choppers hovering nearby ready to shoot it down. Then ofcourse was all the c4 under the blackhawk.

Heh, harder than I could imagine. Take the boat and camp their carrier while one takes the blackhawk and some others stay back and guard the planes? I also can't understand how anyone could be a "pro" gamer. :x

Grats man! Sounds like a lot of fun, wish I could have been there! I am a pro when it comes to flying blackhawks...nothing like doing barrel rolls to dodge missles!

You have no common sense...

What if the planes are already in the air? And how do you expect "one" to take a blackhawk guarded by 12 people with a fierce aim and determination? 1 vs 12 = death.

A "pro" gamer is someone who plays in a pro league.

Throw all what you've said in with team killers and you've got an immense challenge. M.E.C. plane campers, boat campers, apc campers and Many people didn't know how a squad worked etc

I was booted out of the match for 10 mins at one period of time for repeatably team killing idiots who stood infront of planes.

No common sense? If the planes are already in the air, oh well. I also meant that six hop in a boat, and a few in an APC, sneak aboard the ship, and steal the blackhawk with brute force, while those who are left over not in the bird stay and guard their asses. Pro is an abreviation of professional. Professional is someone who does something for profession. If you play games for a profession, you need serious help.

Like game testers?

God I couldn't (not saying I HAVE) stand spending 6 hours playing a buggy game, and having to write EVERY SINGLE THING YOU DO down on a clipboard for bug reference :x
