hey everyone, well I've been lurking around the forum as a guest for a while and I finally got half life 2 episode 1 a few days ago, I was really excited so I Installed It and went to play It and It came up with a message, your driver Is outdated blahlahblah, It's a radeon 9600 If that's any help. So I pressed continue anyway and got Into the game, now It's automatically on medium setting and I thought It would be best to keep It at that, so I play through for I dunno how long and then I got to direct Intervention, seeing as I only had the grav gun I went to get closer to the combine, but as I passed that like Jutty out section of wall the screen goes black and I can only see the HUD.
So I loaded the part that I had saved seconds before direct Intervention and set the graphics to lowest possible mode and went to the part, yet again about 10 seconds Into the chapter boom It's black.
So I go back and lod It again and set models and textures to high Instead of low, It's not Juttery It's all smooth, but It still goes black, so can anyone help me, If I step backwards It goes normal again It's Just after that Jutty out piece of wall.
If Jutty out piece of wall Isn't descriptive enough then I'll explain, right when you first go Into the chpter that big door goes up In sections Into the roof. Then you see some combine super soldiers down the hall, all the way down the hall there are little pieces of wall on either side witch stick In towards the centre of the room at the righthand side piece It's got lights In It and the left one hasn't. now when I pass the first set of these It goes black although I'm still playing It, I'm still shooting and getting shot and stuff/ So any help would be appreciated.
