it's one of the things that kind of put me off Eve online; the lack of an avatar/exploring planet surfaces ...if done right this could be cool, however a little weary of the twitchy combat/seizure-inducing overthetop special effects ..why do science fiction games/movies always invlove more pew-pew than actual sciencefictiony stuff?

I'll definitely keep and eye on this. Looks pretty actiony.

It looks like one of those japanese styled robot/space games.

I'm not particularly fond of that style unfortunately.

That shits all over Eve Online.

The spaceship control is like Freelancer which automatically beats Eve Online senseless.

Meh, I'd rather wait for the multiplayer version of Elite IV that is coming out in a few years(4 or so) ;)

Kyorisu, erm, Infinity is one of the most overhyped indie games of all times, and it's not to be taken particulary serious, which is why many prominent indie sites etc tend to ignore the title.

It's a SMALL group of individuals, led by a guy with no experience at all in commercial game design, making what is probably the most ambitious space game of all time, in MMO form.

If it ever comes close to all that they claim it to be, I will have sex with myself and give birth to Michael Jackson.

Because you actually see games/films. Reading about huge firey explosions in books can be quite boring, but seeing them is a bit more exciting. Plus putting lots of explosions automatically gets you the action-movie crowd looking at it as well as the sci-fi nerds.
