I wouldent be suprised, I feel bad for Troika if Valve keeps makeing them spend more on pr and publishing costs if they cant launch until hl2 does. So considering the game is done and likely to ship soon

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/235706.asp (rough estimate after all it's eb games) you would think it was a possability.. or maybe it's a sign that hl2 will actually come out.. i stopped whoring myself for the latest hl2 date info and decided to just wait it out.. and get suprised so yeah.. bl before hl2 !? discuss

Not possible.. I heard if they did that it would be some illegal issue or something. Maybe cause of the source engine? So I think HL2 will definetly have to be released first.

No it will not be out first.

The only good thing about it is that when Im finished playing HL2 and CSS Halo2,Brothers in arms and Bloodlines will likely be on the market.

its ridiculous really, they obviously payed to use the engine, if valve wasnt so crap at scheduling it would be out, there holding back BL becuase they dont want anyone to see the engine, damn kids

1) the game isn't done. (at least it wasn't from the last interview i read, they were still in beta).

2) i dont believe any of you know for a fact that they cannot release before hl2, as we don't know what kind of contract they may or may not have with valve.

3) this belongs in the rumors and sepculation forum.

No, this doesn't belong in the rumour and speculation forum. Bloodlines is not Halflife2.

And anyways, I bloody well hope Valve lets them release Bloodlines when it's done, even if it's before HL, hell I'm actually looking forward to Bloodlines more than HL2 now :)

We all know how the last vampires game was :O

I say let them have the polishing time.

It was ok, Lots and LOTS of talking and cutscenes. The fighting was good but could've been better. This one looks heaps better though

It was pretty buggy when it first came out. But after some patches it was ok.

Completely different companies.

I've never even HEARD of the company that made Redemption.

Troika, on the other hand, is a seasoned RPG developer.

It's looking great, so I'm getting it when it's released. Let's just hope that both HL2 and BL gets released very soon.

It already got pushed back a bit, it was planned for the 12th of october, now it's on for the 26th. So that either means that Valve is planning a HL2 release between 12 and 26 october, or that Troika simply wasn't done yet.

Troika should file a suit against valve....I mean they have to keep spending more and more money because of valve's lies and delays.

No... not really... :upstare:

Remember America's Army came out before Unreal 2003, and was the first playable game with the new Unreal tech. I remember downloading it just to see the graphics!

Troika's last game, TOEE, was extremely buggy. HL2 is NOT delaying Bloodlines. And even if it is, Troika could use the time to fix those bugs.

Then how come its been said that Bloodlines is finished and that they are waiting for valve to release HL2?

Bloodlines has been a Beta for a few weeks. Considering its just bug finding now, it should be ready for release mid to late october...that is of course if HL2 is out by then. Someone should e-mail gabe and ask if Bloodlines will have to be pushed back if HL2 isn't out by Late october.

Think of it this way- If they went done... this has given them time to get it done.

In all reality though, their engine couldnt be finished before valves engine is done or it would need patched when half life 2 comes out. Its useing the same engine that has bugs in it...

THAT BEING SAID:
They have made alot of improvements over the source engine. Shader 3 and the like... That isnt to say halflife 2 wont have it.... But they came out and said they were going too....

PS: That game company actually talks to its fans and gives out info instead of spining their customers around in circles. They activaly awsner Q&A's off message boards.
