I must be the only one who finds Bloodlines to be much smoother graphically than half-life 2. My rig is as follows:
3.0ghz
128mb geforce 5300 pcx (crap card)
512 ram
One thing i notice about Bloodlines is that there is no screen tearing at all. I'm not sure if v-sync is enabled by default because it's not in the options, but it is smooooth. HL2 on the other hand looks remarkably glitchy and torn up without v-sync enabled, which is an incredible preformance hit when turned on. Even WITH v-sync on, i still notice slight tearing.
ALSO, textures draw in so harshly for me in hl2. A sharp cut is seen when a texture goes from clear to less clear to even less clear. I don't have the hardware to turn up the aaf.
I'd appreciate any tips on getting hl2 to run a bit more like bloodlines. (Both are stuttery as hell though)
