Bloody crashing all the time!

CS:S never crashed before, then they updated it once and it started crashing like every 3 maps, now with the next update its started crashing every ****ing 20 minutes, what the hell is going on?

Corrupt file probally.
You may have to uninstall, just for kicks though, post your system specs.

I heard a lot of people were having the same problem, sometimes the computer freezes and the game just repeats a sound, sometimes it crashes to desktop.

Athlon 2800 XP
512 RAM
Radeon 9800 Pro
Asus A7V600 mbod (i think)

I didn't have any problems with crashing (other than with the %n thing before they patched it) untill yesterday. Every time I signed on to Friends, it gave me a memory read error, and it happened once ingame. I dunno whats happening.

Incase anyone cares, system specs are:
Athlon 64 3200+
1024 Mb RAM
Radeon 9800 Pro

MadLog1c: Simple, don't sign into Friends list. The Friends list is THE buggiest part of Steam right now, so I highly suggest not using it. As an alternative until it's less buggy use XFire
