Anyone know anything about BMX bikes ?
Specialized, is that a good brand or, im interested in buying a BMX for 300-400 USD

Why? A $20 ghetto bike will do fine.

Plus, if you get name-brand bike, you're paying for the name only... that or you wanna show off to your friends, but they're really not impressed, even if they say they are... I wouldn't be.

If you plan on getting to the US on a bmx, at least get one with a basket on the front so you can pop ET in there and get him to fly you :p

How come BMXs can cost so much? They are a frame, 2 wheels, 2 cogs, a chain, pedals, brakes and one of those things which lets your handlebars turn 360 degrees

Just steal one.

Thats what everyone else does....:hmph:

I see kids (17 year olds or so) riding BMX's around, there knees coming up to there ears... They look so silly.

Don't know much about BMXs. Just get a mountain bike :D. I've had mine for over five years now, sure a few trips to the bike shop now and then, but it's still going strong. Just can't believe it hasn't got stolen yet.... now I've jinxed it :O!

My mate bought one during a craze 5 years ago. I think he spent about £250 on it, most of which was his mums money which he had to pay back. I think he went out on it about 5 times. I'd say if you are really serious about it, get some magazines and see what teh good makes are. Also just a quick question, may be stupid, but whats all this FREE MUNRO stuff about?

Bandwagonage

I want one because, they are comfortable, small and very cheap compared to MTB's.

EDIT: or maybe i should forget about this, it looks childish to just ride on a BMX when 17, ill go skateboarding again or something.

Cheap cpmpared to mountain bikes? You can get a decent mountain bike for less than 300-400 dollars

Plus you won't look rediculous on a mountain bike, and you'll probably enjoy riding it a whole lot more.
