Bomb Threat at School today

In my 8 and a half years of schooling I've only had one prank fire alarm and that's all.

That was the best post I have seen in a while.

There was a bomb threat at one of the high schools around here recently. Apparently some girl didnt want to take a test so she called in a bomb threat. Well she got caught and is now facing charges that could land her 10-15 years in prison. Makes a F on a test seem like a much better choice.

I have viewed over kids in each class before and decided whether to spare them or not. Just to see who would die if I was crazy enough to go though with it. But there would be a lot since many have mocked me, angered me, made me sad. Bastards... those bastards...

Weirdly enough, our school keeps telling us weeks beforehand that we're going to have a fire drill/bomb threat drill.

Yeh me to, Also he was talking on his cell phone! I was like can't that set the bomb off lol

No, not unless it was intentionally supposed to anyway....

....and it definately can't set of the gasoline/petroleum at a pumping station, just thought I would clarify that.

The cell phone signal can actually trigger the bomb and make it go off. I don't exactly know why but I know it can and has happened.

I can't imagine cell phones operating in the normal bands would set off a bomb.

Unless the bomb was rigged with a band-pass filter set to activate whenever it got a signal from the cell bands, but that would probably set it off whilst built.

Doesn't make sense. The only radiation cellphones emit is magnetic if I remember right. Can't see how that would set off a bomb.

Is this a predominantly American thing? Seems like you've all had bomb threats, we get nothing like that. Although about 5 years ago somebody hid in the woods by the yard and shot a pupil in the backside with an air rifle, but thats the only thing i've ever heard happen ever in my area.

Never had a bomb threat at our school. However, I've had two occasion where we had to evacuate the school. Both were hacking releated crimes (FBI visted us once due to someone hacking/trying to hack into Nasa). Dunno if they actually did it at the school or if they just used the school network to mask their connection.

The only time I was in a bomb threat was when I was swimming. It was fall outside too and in MN it's cold as hell and windy. We were soaking wet and had to go outside. It was lame.

We did however, have a smoke bomb go off in a locker. It was pretty sweet. The hall filled with smoke and we had to go all the way downstairs through it and out the building. Took about 15 mins for the fire truck to get there despite it being a block away.

pfft bomb threats...People are just way to paranoid these days.

He said that the writing was on the wall (if you'll pardon the pun). How was interpreting that as a bomb threat being paranoid?

And since we're all bragging about bomb threats, I've had five and survived all of them.

Wish our school was that exciting :(

Best we've had was the fire drill today...
