Haha. This is one of those games that I avoid purely because it looks awesome but I'd assumed it was PS3 only so didn't want to get too hyped.

But if it's PC... *gushes* I think the new look is pretty much the best looking computer game since TF2. Cartoony graphics really get me going.

Can't wait for this. The original style was alright but this looks awesome. After that piece of shit that was FO3 I was kinda turned off from Borderlands in fear of the same fate. Haven't had a good freeroaming FPS/RPG since STALKER, but I think Gearbox can pull this off.

I hope they can. I liked Stalker, but the combat was shite. So far we have yet to have a fps rpg with decent combat (that's including Deus Ex).

Yes. There are also Mad Max style dune buggy type vehicles you can use to drive around the world.

I think after Fallout 3's post-apocalyptic success and the assured success of Id's post-apocalyptic Rage game, I think changing the art style to one that will stand-out more is a very good idea. Plus it looks ultra cool. Character designs remind me of the Runaway adventure series which is EXCELLENT.

Nowhere near like Crackdown's gameplay. Freeroaming exploration, high speed vehicle combat, hunting down alien creatures, over 500,000 + weapons etc. STALKER on crack cocaine basically.

Edit: In a way yeah that kinda IS like Crackdown's gameplay. Minus the shit mountain characters and building hopping.

The style reminds me of Prince of Persia, which I really liked. I might have to start getting hyped for this. Any word on when it's supposed to come out?

EDIT: lol, while looking at the wikipedia page I found this: "We saw a ridiculous amount of guns, but perhaps the strangest was a revolver that fired shotgun shells. Gearbox is constantly surprised with what the system comes up with. They've seen rifles shoot everything from homing darts to rockets. 'One of the guns tracks onto something and locks, and after three seconds, [the target] suddenly explodes,' director Matthew Armstrong says."

That person exploder gun reminds me of that gun(s?) from one (some?) of the Turok games that locked onto each limb of a target and ripped them off one by one before finally making their head explode.
