Just use numberkeys to switch weapons. I'd rather hit 3 than constantly keep track of which weapon slot I'm using and gauge my scrolls accordingly.
 
Oh, I meant to scroll the dialogue boxes, because scrolling with the page up and page down keys gets annoying.
 
Got the online to work on Steam. just gotta wait about 30 seconds for the page to refresh then I pick a game. everyone was a level or 5 higher than me but it was really fun. Only one other guy had a mic but we took care of eachother. they power leveled me from 7 to 10 in about 30 mins. then i handed in quests and went to lvl 11. this game is addicting to say the least. also if i had to chose between this and halo this game would be my choice
 
Hmm, I really dont mind going solo in this game. With other people, its always such a rush to complete this and level that. I perfer to go at my own pace, though at later levels I'm sure I will change that.

I like both ways. I'll play an hour of co-op then go back to single player and make sure i trade in my loot and things are organized. also does the backpack get any bigger??

Yeah, If you repair the broken robots scattered about. I just figured this out about an hour ago. I think you can eventually hold about 50 items.
 
I like to go slow when I first get games to learn what some skills do and what not. When your in MP, people are all running and killing and you don't have much time to stop and read.
 
This game is crack! You have been warned.

The loot is overwhelming. I don't even know what to use half of the time. Just when i started to love my new Purple rocket launcher a better one pops up. Damn you!

I love it. The only thing that can get a bit annoying is the frequent Skag attacks. They need to reduce their respawn rate. Dungeon/Zone bosses are tough as ****. This was definitely meant to be played in co-op. I spent almost half an hour fighting the Moe and Marley skags by myself. I had to retreat up a hill and slowly corner shoot their legs. I Am only lvl 15 atm.
I wish Roland's turret lasted a bit longer before it disappears. I mainly use it as a distraction.
It would have been more useful if it could shoot in every direction.
 
I thought Moe and Marley were way too much for me as well, until I shot one when it had its mouth open... you do a massive crit.

Oh, ya. I forgot to mention that. I almost had them killed before i noticed that though.
They got some good loot but i ain't gonna go in there again all by myself.

I agree. This game is crack.

I just killed 9 Toes & gained a level. I'm now Level 8. I like the amount of Skag spawns. I like how they are all over the place & respawn when you do. I really love it when they jump at me & I pull off a critical, causing their heads to explode in midair.

I love all the different weapons this game has. Some have scopes, some use Iron sights, while others can be used for Melee attacks. I also like how there is general crappy weapons as well that drop. I am playing as the thin sniper guy & just unlocked my Pet. Now I'm not sure which path to follow.....

Quite a fun game. My daughter, who loves playing UT3 & so is used to that level of detail, is not so sure about the "Weird" graphics as she calls them.

Just killed the Mothrakk. A god damn BIG RAKK. Seriously like god damn the corpse fills my entire screen. Anyway holy **** this mother ****er rains down god damn balls of fire constantly and I had to use a god damn vehicle spawn for cover. I couldn't reach its butthole (which it doesn't seem to have I mean its a Rakk) so I just shot it over and over and over and over and suddenly like a giant god damn corpse comes falling from the sky and propels me just a few experience points away from level 27. Mother of god piss this bitch was tough god damn.

tl;dr you can't reach its butthole so just shoot at it until it dies
 
lvl 13 all ready!! this game is crack. i thought this game would hold me over till Modern Warfare comes out and thank god it probably keep me busy till then!!

depends...if you are the lowest level character in the bunch and can stay alive...yes. but if you are a faster leveler on your own then also yes. for me its just more fun to do co-op

Go to my documents\my games\borderlands\willowgame\config\ and open willowinput.ini. In every instance of InputKeyName="MouseScrollUp",<something>=42 (or MouseScrollDown), just delete ,<something>=42 including the comma. There should be 3 instances total. I forget what <something> is, because I deleted it :p That should work.

[edit] Also, I love this game for having a three-round revolver that explodes on headshots.
 
I did do that, for every instance I could find. Sadly its still not working...

You killed it with a handgun? I used the car and auto-aim MG turret. Took forever :/

Oh yeah and I just figured out how to fast travel, you use the the new-U stations then the bunny tab.

edit: been using this gun ever since I got it and I'm 28 now. Good shotguns absolutely rape!

Anyone have an idea as to how big the game actually is, with all the side quests finished?

I find I am doing a lot of running back & forth, doing a fair share of the typical "Fed Ex" & "Kill X & Return" type of missions, but oddly, I am not finding them annoying, as I would in pretty much any other game.

Level 10 now & so far, I'm really loving this game. The time seems to pass very quickly, so the "Grinding" is rather enjoyable. I like how I will randomly find other types of weapons, that are not part of the Snipers package, such as SMG's & Shotty's that I can use & when I do, I find loot that goes along with them, such as SMG ammo & different types of nades.

there's quick travel apparently.... the bunny icon in the New-U menu
although i've yet to use it and i'm level 20 lol
 
got to lvl 15, addicted fully now. if they make a sequel i can only hope that its like a free mmo with like 10 man mobs with each city having no more than like 50 gangs...that would awesome

Just unlocked & Spawned my first vehicle. I have not used the Bunny Express yet.

Anyone else find this weird sniper rifle? It shoots infinite bouncing balls of fast electricity.

 
Just wondering, are PC and Console players able to play together?
 
So my brother wants me to pick this up for co-op. Worth picking up? From what I've seen I'm not really impressed.
 
IMO they balanced the game very well, I was getting quite bored with the game when I finally reached level 50, but not bored enough to give up before at least reaching the max level.

All in all it's one of the best games in recent years IMO, it's definitely not without its flaws, but if Gearbox take the constructive criticism from the fanbase and make a sequel with that in mind, it can only become better.

I got an Eridian weapon from a friend of Shamrock a while ago called the Thunderstorm. Unlimited ammo, but it has a slow energy recharge. Fires electric rounds that bounce everywhere and do a bunch of damage.
 
Wait a minute, is Ennui on this forum the same Ennui that works for Gearbox? Or is he just a mod at their official forums?
 
Ennui on the Gearbox forums is a girl, Ennui in here is not.

Edit: ****ing ******s, all high levels. It's going to be unlocked tomorrow for me and I'll have to play alone for a while. :(
