Bots?

are there bots for TF2? And if not, have they said that there is going to be an update adding bots?

I need to know because I am debating whether or not to install it. (cause I have dial up )

thats going to be hard as hell to code that wouldn't you think? there are so many variants from classes and the ability for the bot to choose a class.

You can type "bot" in console, and all they do is stand at spawn.

Or "bot_mimic 1" is fun.

I was wondering about bots too since I am on 56k. But I did try jumping into a server and playing and my ping was not that bad 220-260, which is still atrocious. It was playable but I tried other servers and it was up around 720. I guess it is a shot in the dark whether my latency will be reasonable or not. I am forever cursed with dial up.

its not really about speed of your network, its really the ping that matters. I had loads of servers with latencies of 4-7 and I presume you should have the same..
