what kind of box are u getting. they have one with alyx, gordon and the gman. i my slef are getting the gman
 
topic has been posted many times! anyway, i'll just get the one that's available in the stores here. If there's a choice possible, i'll buy the G-Man :)
 
hopefully they will make more gman boxes than anything else, cos thats the one everyone is gonna want.
 
I wish there was a box with a headcrab :(
that would rock!
 
I'll probably get the gordon edition. I get my one with my videocard (rad 9600XT).

Alyx box: Limited edition(SP only)
Gordon box: Normal edition (SP and MP)
Gman box: Extra edition.
Or am I wrong?
 
I don´t like Alyx, and G-man seems to have a weird kind of smile on that box so it leaves me with only Dr. Freeman.
 
im downloading it :) got it with my videocard..

but ill prolly buy the box with the most goodies (cant find the word atm :x )
all my friends say im grazy becaus i buy the box But i need something to look at when im going to sleep :p
 
It doesnt matter to me, ill like whatever they send me, kind of better that way. I already have the coupon though registered and ready for use but ill be getting the box version just for the hell of it. Preordering from gamestop.com
 
I will probably get gordon, i never had the satisfaction of having him on the HL1 box since i bought the first edition that came out and it just had the rust and the Lambda symbol on it.

Im buying two copies though, one for myself (special edition) and one for my lil bro (G-man)

right, 3 x $50 + 1x $60/70+ not worth it for getting all 3 boxes imo

Exactly! Headcrabs rule. Or how about a box shaped LIKE a headcrab, and you took the CD out of its "mouth"? Wishful thinking, that.
 
I just bought a Sapphire Radeon X800 Pro, and it comes with a free Half-Life 2 coupon in the box. Soooo I think I'm going to buy a copy of HL2 Collectors Edition in-store on the release date and also redeem my free coupon. That way I can sell one on eBay. :D

well it was just an assumption.. as I said those are concept boxes, all of them.

before we saw that cool chunky box, they showed the normal silver box , which was thought to be the special edition... as with almost everything to do with HL2... no one knows...
 
If there is a selection in my local game store (shuld be , its a v big game store lol)
I'll either get G-man or Gordon
 
I Preordered the Special Edition Box....Hopefully its the rad looking rusted metal looking box in that concept box picture.

the speical edition won't have the same cover as the normal copies.

yep, Im buying 2 seperate copies
1. Whatever the special edition is (hopefuly the rust box design we saw)
2. the box with the G-man on it (because I am G-man obsessed, and I get to choose what box I buy for my brother, because IM paying for it)

see I have a network (3 comps) and I need at least 2 copies of HL2 (for me and my bro primarily, but when friends pop by, or my bro in law etc) :p
 
Me and my bro both gettin the SP/MP normal edition....since we need 2 cd-keys for MP
 
Did anyone else think "vagina" when looking at the title of this thread?
