it's now even more expensive :(

Also seemingly exclusive to impulse for now. That seems really ****ing strange considering it was on XBOX LIVE so would M$ not want to put it on GFWL?? Or do they really not give a damn anymore at all?

*hope that the other halo and gears games will come to pc drops even further*

I don't own any consoles since n64 and even I've heard of it.

Nice way to persuade people not to pirate by jacking up the price higher the the 360 version.

Wow, and this after people bitched about the price on 360. Didn't John Blow say he only jacked it up cause MS made him? This isn't even on an MS service...

I hate you for your grammar in this post.

Also braid sucks, and the publishers suck for raising the price and for requiring a stupid service.

You're worse than cancer.
The story of braid sounds interesting, and its really clever how they work that into the gameplay mechanic. I'd check out a demo, but I cant see myself caring too much more about it.

Also, you smell funny.

My scent gland was damaged in a brawl with people who liked Braid. You wanna throw down?!

Are we gonna have a problem here?
Cause I don't think you want this.

I really don't think you want this.

lol Impulse. There's a lesson in how to not create a content distribution system.

Yeah, like they could take on this.

Puh-lease.

Thats actual scale btw, I'm 4 feet taler than them, and weigh quadruple their weight combined, and I have 0.3% body fat. Thats all muscle motha****a.

Why just Impulse? Sort of weird... but I'm at least grateful it's not GFWL (now THAT is one shitty content distribution system) like I expected. But I'm not buying it at that price, if they want to jack it up for no reason whatsoever they can **** right off. The same thing happened with Bionic Commando: Rearmed, why do they do this?

What makes this so good? I have had an Xbox since it was released and never even heard of this:monkee:

Let me know when it is on Steam...til then, well, let's just say I will be trying it out via a better DD method than Impulse. :naughty:

Dude come on, didn't like 2 guys make this? Why steal it? If you're gonna buy it at the end of the day then I guess it doesn't matter but I'm assuming most won't and this will turn into another one of those World of Goo situations. Maybe you won't do this but stealing from indie developers is a horrible idea, it'll just stifle creativity even further in this industry by killing all the indies with mass piracy.

As indie developers they should know better than to jack up the price. The piracy rate on the PC is already terrible and increasing the price is not the way to go. This game to me isn't even worth pirating.

It's only $20, will you please stop complaining about nothing? If anyone considers this reason enough to pirate it, their head isn't screwed on right. It's also one of the best games released last year, and even $20 is a steal.

What is the problem with Impulse people? I have never had any issues with it

Well I hope steam is one, I might give it a shot if it is on steam.

This. Thats ridiculous Victim, so what you are saying is you will pirate it if it never comes to steam?

Also quit bitchin pimpin its only 20 bucks, and if you waited alittle while they will lower it to 10 or so. Jesus if it isnt worth your 20 bucks then it probably isnt worth your time either. Hell when I came in here and read all you guys bitchin about the price jump I thought it'd be like 40 bucks or something! You know like some significant amount of cash....
What are you mentally handicapped or something? "Raising the price isn't the way to go" Well ok then, its not like they want to make money at this anyways...Its not like it probably took them a long ass time to build the game and then port it to the pc.

No, I am saying I will buy it if it comes to Steam.

As a member of the HL2.net community, I think it is perfectly reasonable to expect people here to prefer Steam to any other distro method. That said, if I could just download the .exe from Blow himself, I would do that as a preferred delivery method. That's one of the reasons I like the Introversion guys so much. No hassle. Great results.

Why should i have to pay more just to have it on the PC? What reason is there for that. For the 360 version he has to pay royalty's to Microsoft so if anything that should be more expensive. $5 is still money. But your right it's not worth my time so i won't even bother.

Oh wow, well I guess if he had put it at 20 on the 360 noone would have noticed. Anyways I have a feeling this will do well on the pc.

February 25, 2009 - Valve today announced an agreement to distribute Braid, the innovative title named AIAS Causal Game of the Year, via Steam, a leading platform for the delivery and management of PC games.

Created by Jonathan Blow, Braid is a multi-award winning title that blends platform and puzzle game play with time manipulation. The game features a rich story and plays out across seven unique worlds, each its own time-based game mechanic. The Steam version of Braid will also leverage Steamworks for integration of Achievements and Steam Community features.

"Braid is arguably the strongest example of what can be accomplished by an independent game designer," said Jason Holtman, director of business development at Valve. "From GDC to DICE, the title has deservedly collected numerous accolades and, along with World of Goo, Audiosurf and many others, is redefining the way people think about 'Independent Games.'"

Available for $14.99 (12.99 EUR, 9.99 Pounds Sterling), Braid is due for launch via Steam on March 31, 2009. For more information, please visit www.steamgames.com
