braid is awful, bought it on the xbox the day it was released as im a big fan of indy games, the presentation is very nice but thats where the quality ends, the gameplay is tiring and despite what every review says is nothing new at all.

you can get much better indy games than braid for free.

PC demo is out on PlayGreenhouse.
Coming out on Steam in a few hours.

Now to finally see what the hype was all about.

crap I forgot about this and have no spare monies for it the now :(

and there still isn't even a price for it on steam O_o (I can just bet that the UK price will be different from america)

I downloaded the demo and only the menu shows up for me. The music plays, but it is a blank screen. Maybe more testing is needed?? WTF??

EDIT: The fix seems to be to play windowed by adding " -windowed" to the target field of the properties. Well, whatever works. GREAT game. Here's the official statement though I never saw the error: http://braid-game.com/news/

This is maddeningly hard. D:

But then again, I sucked horribly at playing the Mario games too.

Braid is goddamn lovely.

Remember that you can get the demo off Steam if you're not convinced.

Played it through, just an incomparably great experience. Drondeh, how can you possibly consider this 'awful'?

On a side note, has anyone got anywhere near 8 stars yet? Man, those puzzles are haaard.

Just finished it. Pretty good fun save the god awful speed run bit at the end (thumbs are suffering from that). I won't deny I found myself going to the odd walk through now and them, but mainly because my time is precious and I don't have hours to fathom out what isn't apparent or obvious after 10 minutes of pondering. Certainly recommended if you haven't tried it already. I didn't bother with the Star puzzle, but I assume it fills in the blank books at the end? as well as gives a purpose to the raising platform?
