Breaking Bad

Has anyone else been listening to TV on The Radio constantly since the latest episode?

Jesse... you dumbass. :|
That kid has no ****ing boundaries whatsoever, that woman's going to be the death of him.

Man, that was an awesome episode. The opening and closing really took the cake.

The opening was insane.
Wasn't expecting it to happen that way at all.

I don't think that Gus is the real "Kingpin". Maybe his right hand man but not the man behind the curtain.
I think it's Donald aka John De Lancie aka Q. Jane's dad, that is.

Uhhh....What? What in the world brings you to that conclusion?

Just because his daughter is a junkie doesn't mean he's a kingpin. That's ridiculous. Even if Gus isn't the kingpin, it would be bad writing to have Jane's dad be the Kingpin.

Agreed. I'd hate if it that tracked back to a character we've already met. I'm happy with Gus being the man tbh (enforced serendipity is BS). Can't say I'm impressed with Walt blowing his cool like that over a deal, no way would I agree to that 1 hour BS even with the shit he's got going on. With that amount of product you'd be wanting security, that they've given him no time is the troubling thing. Also agree Jess is a jerk for letting beautiful fall back into her bad habits, and a fool for following her down the rabbit hole...

I finished watching season one the other day, this show is freaking awesome. Can't wait to start season 2 this weekend.

I envy you being able to watch them at this moment, when pretty much season 2 is at the end. You won't have to wait at all!

Just finished watching this penultimate episode.

At the end there, I was saying, "Come on Walt... do something bad-ass, do something bad-ass!". It wasn't exactly bad-ass, but it accomplished the same goal.

I am all caught up, can't wait for next week. But Jane's dad being a kingpin? What would lead you to believe that?

Hardcore Walter, hardcore....:O

Sundays during American nights.

I forget exactly when. I think it's 9PM central.

On AMC?
i think that was the channel it was on before... so nothing has really changed...
ive gotta find some other "legal" way of watching this. Such a good series, made even better by the fact that the majority of the chemistry is true
deffinatly the most important part of any tv show in my opinion

I'm pumped for the season finale coming on tonight!

Jesse is in a world of hurt when he wakes up for sure.

My predictions for the finale tonight. This post was made well before it aired. Maybe i'll be right!

I foresee a big blowout with Jesse blaming Walt for what happened, who truthfully did let it progress to the point it did. But Jesse doesn't know that.

And then Walt will somehow end up confessing to it in a way and the end of the episode will probably end up with Jesse and Walt in a struggle, Jesse trying to kill Walt, Walt trying to defend himself.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see though, considering all the intro teasers that have been going this season with the pool and shit.

Well things to bear in mind:-

1) Beautiful is dead in his bed

2) He has a big bagful of cash in his flat as well as drug paraphernalia

3) her dad is going to be major pissed and undoubtedly call the police + kick jesse out of the flat at the very least

**** **** ****, I completely forgot about this.
I missed the last 2 episodes.

Shit, I hope tivo recorded them. D:

Just finished watching the finale. Do not read this spoiler if you have not seen it yet.

WHAT THE ****? THAT WHOLE POOL SCENE SHIT WAS FROM SOMETHING COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THE ENTIRE SERIES?

That pisses me off quite honestly. I thought something big was going to go down. I mean yeah, it's something big... but it's caused by a minor character and was completely unrelated to anything except for this very last episode.

Frustrating. But still, I enjoyed the season. I just ****ing wish Walt would have told Skylar the god damn truth. Instead of dragging it out for a third season.

My thoughts

It's not entirely unrelated, but yeah, thats what the internet gets for trying to predict this show.

I don't see it as unrelated. Donald's grief was caused by Jane's death, which occured because of Walt's inaction. So Walt has inadvertantly caused the deaths of hundreds of people by choosing not to save Jane.

I'd say it's far more Donald's fault than Walt's, as he decided to go back to work while still under tremendous grief. But i feel sorry for Donald more than I do Walt, as Donald didn't have this coming :(

I just feel sort of robbed in a sense. They've been doing those opening teasers of that scene for pretty much the entire season.

And for that storyline to not even have come into play really except the final two episodes, kind of sucks.

I was expecting it to have some deep intertwined causes that could be traced back through much of the season.

There is quite a bit of drama that will happen though, if and when walt figures out that he was a major contributing cause to all those deaths... but I don't feel attached to those deaths of those on the airplane at all. Not one single bit. Not because it's not a horrible thing, but because there is absolutely no roots to it. It just happened right out of the blue.

It's not like the thing with Tuco, which I felt much more invested in, because it had plot roots.

To me it just felt like... Hey, Donald isn't feeling well... he has a job that requires his utmost OH MY GOD PLANES COLLIDE!

I still love the show though.

I kind of feared that Walts random bar room encounter with Donald marked a jumping the shark moment for the show. I'm beginning to fear that has indeed begun to play out.

Like the rest of you I'm a little pissed at the false play, but more importantly I'm pissed at the 6 degrees of separation contrivance to it.

I think given Skylars confrontation with Walt over the facts. I honestly don't know where they can go in terms of future plot save into the realms of absurdity, unless by the end of season 3 Walt ends up either face down in a shallow grave courtesy of Mr Pollo, or facing 25 to life once Hank puts his thinking cap on over his Brother in Laws magic money supply.

As the saying goes 'you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but never all of the people all of the time'.

Pity Jane died, because she was fine. Here is hoping to see her in other shows.

I just watched it.

I agree. I couldn't believe that the pool scene was 2 planes crashing. They were hyping that for the entire season.

I just can't believe I have to wait for at least another year.

Just saw this thread a few days ago, and power watched all the episodes. Awesome show. As for the finale...

The scene may not be over yet. The planes crashing explains the teddy bear and the fires and general wreckage about town, but there is still the two bodies out front, and what looks to be walt's glasses in the evidence bags. They put a lot of emphasis on the two bodies in the body bags, and I dont think it would be for just two random insignificant people who fell out of the plane. Maybe i'm wrong, but there may be more to it.

Great episode, silly ending. Whatever, I'm still super pumped for next season. Stuff with the Pollo dude is going to get interesting.

I did the same last week, really enjoy the show, its nice seeing a man turn into a monster very slowly.

It reminds me of the old Shakespearean tragedies like Macbeth, where you see a good man slowly destroyed by one tragic flaw.
