bright sunlight shadows

Is there some way to reduce the brightness of non-sunlit areas? It seems all the sunlight shadow areas are too bright (the indoors are okay).

I've tried ajust the sunlight's ambient brightness setting, but it makes absolutely no difference for some reason.

Are you using normal lighting settings?

You should use the skies and light_env setting's that are found in official maps.

Okay, a combination of a few of those things seems to have fixed it. I also forgot about a few regular lights that I had been using outdoors to create some additional fake radiosity.TY all.
