Iraqi President has said that the Iraqi military and police forces will be ready to take over from the British forces in Iraq by next year. Great news for all the British soldiers out there and it'd be great news for the local Iraqis having Iraqi soldiers and police looking over them instead of foreign troops, as long as they can be trusted that is.

Yeah, I heard that on the radio. Pretty good I suppose, but I don't think they will be ready for a pullout next year.

Hurray! We can go invade somewhere else in 2007! What a great guy for helping to move along the schedule like that.

QFT imo.

Who's next on America's list...

Indonesia? Maybe.
North Korea? Doubt it.
Iran? Yikes!
xxxstan? Probably, especially if one of them turns up with good oil reserves.
Australia? Apparently.
Colombia? We're already there.

You forgot Syria. I think it's between that and Iran. Maybe Bush will flip a coin? NK is a possibility, but it's too close to China.

Cool. Hopefully he sees his forces as being equipped enough soon. When the Iraqi government wishes us to leave we shall do so hastily.

Because we all know they didn't edit out the countless others who went "Um, what the hell is up with your mislabeled map?"

If we were bent on destruction, Afghanistan would be a big hole.

America is not going to invade another country anytime soon. You'd have to seriously be fooling yourself to think that.

And its not because of monetary requirement either.

Haha, Raziaar. I was listening to a song and your cow was dancing exactly to its beat.

On subject: America wont attack anyone else, because it is quite pointless now.
They'll just dispose of Mr.Bush and friends now, blame it all on them and rally up another administration. So don't wait for a war too soon now.

you guys forgot canada on the list, everyone knows Bush is after our maple syrup and Tim Hortons Coffee reserves!

Whilst I dont think that we will be handing control over to the Iraqis just that soon, it does give us hope that there is an end in sight for this occupation (it also shows somthing about the differnt polices of ocupation emploied by the US and Britan).

If the US does invade another country in the next 2-3 years it will almost cirtainly be going without a large British force in support. The British military has been operating at over what is considered its viable level of commitments for some time now (two major deplyments in Afgahnistan and Iraq, as well as the low level deployments such as peace keeping in Kosovo, the debacle in Serria Leonne, etc). And if we do pull out of Iraq in 2006 it will probubly need some time to recover and get back up to where it needs to be.

Anyway, the yanks arn't going anywhere any time soon in my opinion. The invasions and occupations of Afganistan and Iraq are a serious drain on their military resources and another invasion like these may stretch their forces to breaking point. They'll be stuck in the middle east for the foreseeable future.

The United states already owns some of Tim Hortons.

As for the British getting out of Iraq...It's about Bloody Time!!

Does anyone care anymore? People are just used to them being there.
