"Excuse moi?" She sounds like someone of Cath And Kim

I speak my own language :D

I even make up words that have got into popular circulation :D (like chillax)

Loads of people I went to school with sound austrialian, similar accents I guess.

When my aunt moved to the midlands, everyone there thought she was australian.

They are snobs. Their clothes and food are of the 19th century.

Every time I think of a British accent I think of the way the hooligans spoke in Euro Trip/different speech all together so it doesn't sound all that smart to me, but I know that the way someone's accent goes has nothing to do with how smart someone is.

Sadly a lot of people think it somehow does. They'll hear a southern US accent and think the person is somehow 'lower,' and I've seen people here think scottish/Irish accents are somehow 'lower' here too, it's weird.

Apparantly we have an accent here, too. Always thought Arizona was a blend of everything American, but I talked on the phone to my cousins from Louisiana, and some people in the Northeast (Maryland and others) and I have a "southwestern accent like California and Arizona"

Weird :( I sound completely non-accentyish to myself.

Yea you west coast people do have accents. It's bearly noticeable in some of you, but it's there. Oh well...I'm happy by the fact I don't have the "hardcore" southern accent. Then I would feel even more stupid. :(

I have some cousins in your neck of the woods and I've never noticed an accent. But I'm terrible with them anyways. I've had people tell me that I've got a thick New York accent, while others have told me I sound bland.

The southerners sound smart, the further north you get, the IQ of the voice seems to drop if you get what I mean.

And aren't you American? "like the rest of us english people", don't you mean English-speaking people? :p

Excuse me? Aren't you perhaps forgetting Essex, or Dorset/Devon/Cornwall?

Listen to those accents and tell me someone from oop north is thick.

I come from just outside Bristol, yet don't have a Bristolian accent, I think I speak quite poshly, but personally, I don't think I have an accent. :/

I love Scottish and Texan accents, nooo idea why, they are just great.

Guess that depends who you go with and what night, i've only ever been on Retro nights, and i met a girl who used to work there. She took me into the DJ Box and i spent the night next to Paul Taylor as he DJ'd, took some of my friends up there too. And i can do that whenever i go. :)
