Brosnan says Bond is 'behind him'

bond is more about charisma than looks, which is why Connery was so successful. Bloom does have a certain amount of charisma about him, but he needs to prove himself as a 'man's man', rather than just a lady's man. or something like that anyway.
 
I would want Robert Englund as James Bond. How cool wouldnt that be?

The problem with Orlando Bloom is that he's already recognized as Legolas the elf. It will take a great amount of acting and dialogue to remove that precieved image of him when he's on screen.

Even still, he's the front runner. Best of the choices so far.
 
Orlando Bloom just doesnt Look like a Bond, he wouldnt look right in a suit. And as an actor i dont think he'd go there, afterwards he wouldnt get a part that wasn't Elf/Bond related.

Im thinking Grant Mitchell from EastEnders, cant remember the actors name. Ross Kemp?

Hhhmmm...

Ioan Gruffudd isn't well known, he's British, he's exactly 30, and he sorta has the Bond face. It could work if he puts on a tough-guy persona and works on his voice a bit.

Probably been mentioned a few hundred times, but Christian Bale is perfect for it.
 
Colin Farrel, Heath Ledger, Jude Law, Orlando Bloom, Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman would all make awful, awful, awful James Bonds! Really, really, bad.

The possibility that any of these guys are being considered to fill the role must have Fleming turning in his grave.

//edit I say it's time for a new Bond. Sneaky, sly and devious - more of a selfish bastard (like he was in the books, but more so :)) Gary Oldman should play the part.

I think so...I was going to make a joke of it but I just thought him being dead it wouldn't really work.

Brosnan is definetly the best bond is my opinion....

Clive Owen might make a decent bond.

Maybe Christian Bale...maybe.
 
Liam Gallagher. Wouldn't understand a ****ing word in the movie but it'd still be a good laugh.

Seriously though, the Bond Movies have always sucked massively, so gives a shit who the next one is?, its going to blow.
 
I thought they were good (Although No20 was a bit over the top in some parts)...What didn't you like about them?
 
Thank goodness he is no longer Bond, he almost ended up destroying the whole franchise that actors like Connery and Moore spent so hard setting in place. Even Timothy Doltan was better then Brosnan.


Anyway, that guy from the Transporter would make an excellent Bond. Moving away from the Pierce Brosnan "must have sex with as many women as possible whilst saving the world from moronic idiots that couldn't take over a branch of Dixons let alone the world" type story line to an action packed, stylish and very English affair.
 
Bond always slept with the women...Just because of the moving times they made it a little more obvious and graphic.

Jason Statham has a really bad accent, he wouldn't fit in as a Bond.
