those are pretty sweet looking... wish i could model like tat... the grip on the glock looks kinda weird and pointy

hmm, the models look good, although I sggest you use a sharper filter for your renders :p
 
Well, the player is more likely to see the grip from that angle (if at all) than a full side or 3/4 front view.

umm that glock is like completly sidways lol. oh and for the renders i dunno why but they dont render good at 640 x 480
 
if you are using Max, then please use catmull-rom as the renderer, it makes your renders so much sharper and much nicer to look at in my eyes.
 
who gives a crap about what rendering method is used when displaying WIPs, or asking for crits on the models???
all the models look fine, they're all guns. theres no wierdness going on with any of them so you've done a good job.

now could we see some characters instead of just guns?
 
umm yeah ill have to get back to you with the characters, we currently dont have concepts for our player models.
 
if it's for the promised land i'd assume you cna take/use some photos :p
 
yes but blown up drawings are really good to, thats why we need an extremely good concept artist :!
 
I really mean no offense to you modelers, what you do is great... but how come the only thing, and I mean the only thing I see in this forum is new models of guns? Couldn't you guys do something different, like, sayy:
aliens
players
spaceships
tanks
fat men with weird hats
anything?

I really mean no offense, you guys are great at what you do, but I wanna see some other stuff!

if you listened to his post it said they needed a concept artist to do the player models:)

I'll assume that you're not a modeler.....


But chacters require more skill to make, and most people here (myself included) aren't skilled enough atm to make a decent player. And another thing is that most mods need guns modeled :p

I know he needed a concept artist, I was merely listing a few things... I didn't mean to attack anyone here. But the only thing I ever see modeled around here is modern weapons. I mean, I understand you need them... but why aren't the futuristic mods showing weapons, and why are those the only things you model? Trees, plants, tanks, Jeeps, cars... I don't think vehicles are that much more complicated than modern guns, right?

I didn't mean to offend anyone, I simply was wondering why it is only modern weapons that people model. You are right in assuming I don't model, but I know the general basics of it, and I understand that player models are much more complicated. But there are far more things than just modern weapons that are just as simple that you guys could make, right?
 
well i can model vehicles its just right now my mod is prioritizing, certain models over others right now, besides it doesnt really matter, hl2 isnt out yet. :naughty:
