I don't know if it's my age or the recent string of disappointing games. My interest and enthusiasm are dropping with each new release of a new and long awaited game.
Even social and continuously updated games such as MMO's are losing their appeal to me.
I have been a gamer most of my life but lately none of the recent games had an affect on me like they did in the past. Sure, Team Fortress 2 humor and art style was a nice breath of fresh air, however, some of the changes to the game play (grenades excluded) eventually could not be overlooked by me anymore. GTA 4 although a good and enjoyable game, just didn't have the same long lasting appeal as its predecessors. Hopefully, Left4Dead will rekindle my joy in games. I have been longing for a good co-op game for a while now.
For the mean time though, i am stuck in a limbo of boredom and random Youtube videos.

I have yet to find something that has come out in the last few months to drop my money on. I'v resorted to replaying Halo and Splinter Cell: Chaos theory

take a break from playing video games and watch movies in that same space of time.

if you play video games for a couple hours a day, you could watch a movie every day.

Sell your computer(s), wait 3 months, then games will be fun again!

Believe me, it works. Now I'm on an old junker, playing Diablo 1 and Jagged Alliance 2. Although both are great games.

Same here, I'm hoping WAR will rekindle my interest.

Do some retrogaming. Look for those good old games where you had to actually write maps and notes. I started playing the Starflight series. Awesome.
