Is ****ing awesome. The way cars deform realistcally in collisons, the graphics, the sound everything is great. I'll probably find a way on live sometime so if anyone wants to Freeburn sometime add me. Gamertag is WillehWanks.

What does Helplife2.net think of it?

I played the demo. It was pretty fun, dunno if it's purchase material. Maybe a good five day rent.

I got it too Willie, it rocks! :D

Cars are sweet, but the only gripe I have is there is no fast travel, and navigating in races is difficult without planning on the map first (though the game does navigate you by saying when to turn down a different street, but there is little warning).

Also, I thought the new Showtime mode would suck, but it is actually not that bad (if not rediculous). I wouldve stuck with the old crash mode IMO.

Just got back from playing hours of Burnout 2 on the Gamecube.

Why they didn't keep that formula even for revenge etc. is beyond me.

Man, I am so tempted to buy Burnout 3 for the Xbox right now...

I took the plunge on Paradise, and I'm loving it. The demo really doesn't capture the essence of this game, which is having your way with a gigantic city. The races are really fun too - I actually like having to plan a route and everything.

I didn't like it. But then again, I found Burnout games generally boring. Woohoo, going really fast without doing much! Oh wow! You can go wherever you want!
But then again I'm a Test Drive Unl. kind of guy.

I don't really get games like Test Drive unlimited. It's just like GTA in that you have a huge city to explore in loads of cars, but you don't get the fun things. Like hookers.

Demo was very fun, but I really wasn't digging the idea of not having a "restart race" option. Burnout has always been a game where you had to retry races a ton of times before you ace them, and when it gets down to the last few it'll probably be very frustrating. Anyway, I've gone over my games budget for a good couple of months, so I'll probably be hiring and waiting for it to come down in price.

Without doing much? Have fun colliding with traffic 90% of the time. :|

Also, Paradise is the first Burnout to introduce an open world... and why rag on that and then praise TDU, which did basically the same thing?

I must have spent an hour just colliding into walls and other traffic before I even attempted any of the races. That's always been the appeal of Burnout to me, the races are practically an afterthought. :D

Also, crashing head first into a wall and not have the slow-mo kick in is glorious.

I'd buy the game if it wasn't for that goddamn ultra-masculine DJ Atomica randomly stopping the game and telling me how to play. Damn him.

Rapstah, he is nowhere near as annoying in the full game. He only really talks when you lose a race or when there is a new car avaliable.

If he talks when I lose a race he's going to talk too much.

Just stick your own music on, it's enough to drown out the DJ but not the awesome crashing sounds (especially if you have a subwoofer, KA-SMMMUUSSSHH)

Dodging traffic wasn't all that hard at 130mph. Since there wasn't much at all. I might get it, if only for the multiplayer.

That DJ was ****ing annoying.

Its ok. The best part is flashing your arse crack for a mugshot.

*bump*

So I just hired it out for a few nights and I'm loving it so far, for the most part. One gripe - is there any way to turn the crash-cam off, atleast just for when you're taking out rivals? It's annoying as hell in Road Rage (usually my favourite mode), and there was an option to disable it in all the other Burnouts. :|

Having a ton of fun with this....theres too much awesome here to take most of the complaints very seriously.

No split screen = fail. WHY D:.

You what?

Half the reason for buying it has just gone out the window... I may have to reconsider. I swear the very concept of split-screen gaming is going out the window these days. Not even Nintendo do it that well any more.

I actually haven't ever played a Burnout in split-screen and not just been frustrated. It makes it amazingly hard to see what is approaching and just ends up with you crashing every few feet.

The multi player that is in the game is fantastic though.

Man, I wish I had a next gen console, so I could get this game. Makes me want to get a 360 that much more. BUT I MUST RESIST AND SAVE MY MONIES!!!

I saw an advert for this yesterday on Bebo, looked alright. Not sure I would buy it though.

Bump.

Who's still playing this on Live? I want some people to race and do challenges with.
