Gee, I wonder why I'm skeptical of this latest threat to our subway systems:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20051007/ts_nm/security_newyork_dc

maybe its this part:

An intelligence source in Washington said the wider alert of a threat to America's largest subway system came from intelligence in Iraq.

"Raids in Iraq in recent days or weeks did produce intelligence that led to the New York City terror threat alert," said an intelligence official who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Its a big coincidence when on the same week Bush goes on a PR campaign to gain support for the Iraq war we just so happen to get intelligence from Iraq that we might be attacked. Why do american people keep letting these assholes get away with this?

i'm not saying this isn't bogus, i'm not saying it is, just trying to analyze this rationally...

if something happened, and the government would've known about it but kept their mouths shut, would'nt you be extra pissed if they never warned you?

I call bullshit
Lots and Lots of bullshit

And I agree. But you have to understand, you can not trust Bush with this after he whored the terror alert during election year. Here:

I have a better graph of this but I'll need to look it up.

The bottom line here is this isn't just a random terror alert, this is a terror alert where the white house claims the intelligence came from Iraq and it just so happens that the white house has been on a PR mission this week to gain support in Iraq. I have enough of common sense to put the 2 and 2 together.

It's okay, God told him to raise the terror level.

Hmmm..A green substance was bubbling out of a soda can....did they say what kind of soda..mountain dew is green..among various others...Nice excuse Bush...green soda. What will they think of next...a healthy McDonalds Hamberger?? Here we go again.

His "intelligence" blows ass.

If indeed his intelligence blows ass, then that simply makes America's intelligence blow ass even harder.

Nothing I hate worse than fearmongering by the media.

EDIT: Well, actually thats not true. Plenty I hate worse. But tis just a figure of speech!

thank god i'm in a class on Homeland Security where we can actually speak intelligently about issues like this... you treat the terror alert in new york so simply... intel is always unreliable until it has been thoroughly checked and rechecked, and even then there's always the possibility it isn;t true

Bloomberg was right to tell New Yorkers about it, but the feds were also right to keep tight-lipped about it until they confirmed the intel

Well you know...you could consider bush a terrorist. Why? Well lets take a look at the definition of terrorism from the Department of Defense:

"the calculated use of unlawful violence or threat of unlawful violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological."

So from that alone would that not make Bush a terrorist?
A.)He is "fear mongering" by using a war to put fear into people for poltical, religious, and ideological.
B.)Using a warning system to do the same as A.

patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel

and no one is a bigger scoundrel than bush

Iraq War II was/is rather unlawful violence. It also was threatened beforehand.
Bush also provided ultimatums to various governments, as in the case of the 'Axes of Evil' or "any government harbouring terrorists".
The goals of all this were political, and rather ideological too.
Arguably, they were religious as well.

Plus, it was all calculated starting at least November 2001.

:O

FYI, CNN has hence confirmed the information to be false, a lie actually.

I just think the whole color scheme's a joke. Like hell we'll ever reach green-blue.
