Unfortunately I have to work..can you peeps keep me posted about whats going. I really wish I could watch it. ty

I am not suppose to watch it tonight, because we will be watching it in school tomorrow...

I don't have a TV so I can't watch it. I'm hoping that I can find it on the web somewhere.

I'll be watching it :p
And at 6pm - a normal time
It'll prolly be boring though.

I'm having a friend recording it since I don't have a VCR and I will be in class during the debate. I also need the debate for an assignment.

What time zone?
that would be HIS time zone. which is .. um, the normal zone!

unless he means GMT, which I highly doubt.

California. 3 hours behind.
I said normal time cuz its on at 2am in the uk
However watching it at 6 sounds even better than 9
Just cuz nothing good is ever on at 6

(Its taking place at 9 where they are, right?)

No TV?!

Mein Göt, how do you live ?!

I hope they end up killing each other.. I'm just so tired of the political focus the media create. They make them look like Kings and Jackasses at the same time. Batman for president!

I'm also in the non-tv owning crowd. I have one of those, er what do you call them, lives, that's it ;)

Some will encode it and put it online surely? I'm really interested to see what happens.

Modern life = TV.

You're out of date :p

lies, manuipulation, ego stroking, false promises, bullshite ...yup the debate will be better than any soap opera ..it also promises to be pure comedy gold as GW butchers the english language ...I bet his handlers are trembling in their oxfords as we speak

you left out flip flops. plenty of those, im sure. this wont be much of a debate, just the candidates spewing forth canned answers. on the bright side, maybe kerry will talk about something other than vietnam. or take less than 30 minutes to answer a simple question

I thought I read somewhere G dubya has never lost a debate? Who cares if he cant pronounce things..as long as he gets the point out whos gonna be the moron to judge a person by the way he speaks?

he never lost a debate? that's subjective ...how do you lose a debate? "ok I'm beat I cant take your infalible logic, you've won!" ...doesnt really matter, no one will ask the important questions anyway. Let me debate bush I'll have him stuttering in no time :E

MSNBC is airing a webcast Neutrino. I hope I can watch it because I have a gay pep rally and a friggin essay due tomorrow :( . Not looking too good for me :(

Oh, and the debates really wont be won by the answers. It will be won by the person who doesnt make a stupid visible mistake. A great example is Al Gore trying to tower over GW in 2000. Another fluke was the "fuzzy math". Those things killed Gore. John Kerry has been known to 'dominate' debates by taking long amounts of time (in Mass. races) and this could hurt him on national TV if he keeps going too long after the verbal and visual time warning. Both canidates should stay away from the harsh personal attacks as well because they want to seem likeable, not jerks.

he memorizes all the answers to all expected/typical questions ahead of time? :p

Its completely scripted.

All the way down to there will be absolutely no suprise questions and the cantidates can't even talk to eachother.

Its going to be a giant pile of snoring.

Thats politics for you, the speeches over here are all scripted, atm the parties are all having conferences, stating what they plan and have done for the country in the run up to election next year. There's no debate, its just speaches, i tihnk this show will turn out to be just speaches. Bush and Kerry will be answering pre-planned questions with preset answers, it's no test of leadership skills or vision, just acting.

Besides a couple comedy and news shows here and there, I really don't like TV and find it to be just a waste of time.

Thanks for the tip, seinfeldrules. Hopefully I'll be able to catch them somewhere.

The Daily show just pays back for all the rest.

And [no pun intended] Bush looks like a midget! [/no pun intended].

Adn Kerry is pushing his talk points too hard.

Bush 04.

I like kerry, because he's smart, a good portion of the US prefers an easygoing guy to someone who actually understands foreign policy.

for now, kerry hasn't really hit his stride. bush is doing pretty well, but i just feel like everything he says is a lie.

Now bush is talking about how saddam wasn't disarming - he wasn't? what arms did he have?

*sigh* our target is ira-saddam-er bin laden!

Neither candidate has really seperated himself from the other so far. Not surprising.
