Buying new graphics card.. ur thought.

GAINWARD 6600 Ultra 256MB GS and the price is $199

I heard nothing but good things about this card in most reviews.
Now i wanna hear good/bad things from you guys.
Anyone that got this or knows anyone that has it..please let me know ur thoughts about it.

6600GT is THE choice for your pricerange. I like to read hardware stuffs and anandtech recently posted video card prices. The nVidia 6600GT surpassed the 9800 pro in its price range. Go for it.

My brother runs the game no problem. Some people aren't getting as much performance out of their 6800s because their cpus aren't fast enough to fill 16 pipelines of instructions. The 6800 GT is great for HL2.

accualy that posses a question for me also, im getting the Evga 6800 gt, but what system specs would u need to make it work well, i was gonna get an amd 3200+ 512K L2 cache, 1 gig of ram, DFI "LANPARTY UT nF3 250Gb" NVIDIA nForce3 250GB Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 754 , blah blah blah u get the idea.

an X800 will do better for HL2, and for more DX9 games. For Doom 3 and open gl games the 6800 will surpass it.

well just because its better for a certain game or software like DX9 doesnt mean it wont be a amazeing ghx card, im talking about the 6600 + cards of course oh and thanks a bunch warrior

I hate valve for making that ATI deal.. I have an 9600pro but I think its so unfair what they do to Nvidia Owners
on 31st im gettin a 6800 for 249 and tomarrow im gettin a new Mose
