Keep tracking it refresh every once in a while, how many more will there be until the big one comes.. This is unusual, usually there's a few tremors now and then but not like this many in a short time.

Worst case scenerio with getting a MAJOR quake and then you have TWO national disasters at the same time, gets out of control. Hopefully they stay small and go away.

Unless its a 3.0, you can't even feel it. The entire state gets hundreds of sub-3.0 quakes every single day.

Anyways, I'm not afraid of an earthquake in the least. California's not going to "slide into the ocean." When a big quake does occur, about every 5 years, it hits a small 50 mile diameter region and that's it. I'm more likely to die of a malfunctioning spork than of an earthquake.

Doesn't it rather remind you of that situation with Moses and the ten plagues?

Repent, repent...

Correct, however what's strange is that this is a large amount of quakes happening within a -very- short time of each other all on the San Andreas fault in the same area. Not a good indicator.

Anyone who thinks that Cali can remove from the continent is dumb. The threat is another quake like the one in San Francisco years ago, devastating results, lots of death and the city in ruins.

Geophysicists have always predicted that an earthquake will one day pulverise cali... It would be rather bad if that day was upon us now.

Look, the only reason earthquake statistics seem to be on the rise is that there are more seismograph stations being created around the world and the technology is getting more sensitive. It's like comparing confirmed cases of AIDS or cancer in 2005 to the number of cases recorded in 1905. The technology wasn't as sophisticated and it wasn't as widespread. If you look at the statistics, the only numbers that are really increasing are the weak ones that they would have had trouble detecting in the past. The number of larger earthquakes like 7.0s that would have been easily detected have been staying pretty much constant for over a hundred years. This is not abnormal. I'd be more worried if the little earthquakes suddenly stopped... then, you'd know the faults are probably just building up for a big one rather than releasing tension little bits at a time.

I would much rather have many small quakes over a long period of time rather than one large snap.

They're pretty far away from where I am. It's 2:40am over here now and it would suck if one of those hit while I was sleeping.

Karma Chamelion?

And where are the Yellowstone parks? Apparently there's a huge underground volcano thingy there so a large earthquake might start it off.... If it's in the area.
Strange so many things are happening all at once.

never felt an earthquake! is it anything like having sex? god bless america, give a break, eh boss?

A magnitude 5 earthquake occurred there this morning. 3 little ones in the last hour.

Uh-oh, MiccyNarc, youre screwed.
Not really because I live in New York ;)
Eh well, never know, chaos theory. One small event can lead into catastrophic events.
Interesting thought but doubtful ;)

They could be engineered to relieve the tension so no large earthquakes occur, H.A.A.R.P being used in Alaska, which is similar to one of Tesla's patent's claimed to beable to induce weather changing and earth changing effects. then again it could be just a bunch of odd natural phenomenon. What you need to verify if scalar EM is being used, is a scalar detector to pick up woodpecker signal's, if they coincide with the seismic activity, you have an unatural culprit.

I hope you're being sarcastic.

Seven? Eep...

[much fumbling through Exodus]

I see ten. Starts in chapter 7 with water becoming blood (1), then to chapter 8 with frogs (2), lice (3), and flies (4), then chapter 9 brings a curse on livestock (5), boils (6), and hail (7), then chapter 10 brings those infamous locusts (8) and darkness (9). Chapters 11 and 12 deal with the death of the firstborn (10).

The seven plagues show up in Revelation, except that they're seals, then trumpets, then bowls of wrath :)

Notwithstanding. REPENT!

I think there's a major shift going on this year, I was googling and this year there has been excessive activity along the San Andreas Fault.

This could be good, in that these small quakes are relieving the tension without anything major happening. It's only a problem if these quakes stop. If that happens, evacuate California, heh.

It's gonna be like Mt. St. Helens. A couple small ones then OMFGBOOMYOUDIENOW!

>_>
