I started playing half life 2. But now whenever I load a game... evrything is frozen... I can control my guy, but all the other characters in the game are non responsive... even the enemies... anyone have a solution??

Sounds like your AI is disabled... There is a consol command to enable it. I don't remember what it is since I bound it to a key long ago and I'm not at my home computer.

Edit: you might try typing "ai_disable 0" in the consol without the quotes.
