Im making a map for Hl1 :( and its always light i put lights in the map that flicker but they dont show becuase its already light im sure its summet to do with RAD. it worked before not now any1 know lol :P

uhhh if i understand right, you mean that you'r map doesn't show any of the lights you plaed yourself but is completely illuminated?

if so, try and put it all in a hollowed box.... that should fix it, as far as i remember(ugh..havent mapped in a few months..and im too lazy too look right now :) )
 
You may have a Leak. Or you dont have Qrad set to the correct properties.
 
Placeing a Hollowed Box (with Sky Texture) Around the map is not a very good way to solve your leak problem. instead Just look for the Leak and fix it. I suggest you go in to your map and bring up the console and type Noclip. Noclip is to fly around the map to look for the leak. Then type PointFile in the console. Point file will give you a line of points leading through the Leak in the map. You Just have to find it useing the noclip command.
 
Yes, look for a leak. Did you clip any textures and not fill in a area where the wall connects to the floor? There is a command you can type in but I cant remember it that turns everything outside of your world a different color. Maybe someone here knows it.
 
Another good techneique is to cover half the level in a solid block compile and if it doesent find the error move it over to the other side and compile. When it does find the leak, shrink the block down and compile.

Repeat untill you have narowed the leak down to a small part of your map and look furiously hard for the leak.
 
ah lol thx guys ^_^ there was a wee tiny leak which i didnt notice :< thx for ya helps :D
