Can I get it NOT to update?

I really only play a few maps and want to keep the current CT skin since I think the new one looks ugly. So I have CSS set at "Do not automatically update this game" but it doesn't work. It still tries to update whenever I start it up! What am I doing wrong?

you are not accepting change. nobody is going to play previous versions anyway. you have to update if you want to keep playing with people.

you can dl the update but delete the new skin and replace it with the old one. Problem solved.

I remember all the hassles of downloading for TF...it was just a few more megabytes at first but then eventually my entire hardrive on my crappy old computer was filled up by the updates.

Thankfully I have 120 gigs on this baby.
