can you download CS:S first???

hey, im gonna order the silver pakage in a couple of days, but i aintt preloaded HL2, i was wondering if im gonna have to preload all of HL2 befor i can play CS:S

it depends which files steam chooses to download first. i really don't know which it will. if you can, try to double-click and choose cs:s to get it to manually preload it now, that way you'll already have the files once you pay for silver.

or, just go have a friend burn the files (or that one file) for you.

when all the files start downloading, you can right click on the Steam in tray and go to monitor. THen go to the properties of each and change to Do Not autmoatically update. Restart steam, and it should only be downloading the ones you set to Always update (Leave CS:S as Alwyas update).
